'Nature Tech' Claims Cinematography Honor

NEW YORK, Sept. 24 /PRNewswire/ -- Smithsonian Channel(TM) won the Emmy for Outstanding Individual Achievement in a Craft - Cinematography - Nature Documentaries/Dramatic Recreations for "The Magic of Motion," an episode of its popular series, NATURE TECH. This is the first Emmy for the network.

NATURE TECH is a three-episode series that shows how a new field, bio-memetics, brings technology and nature together by looking to nature for answers to mysteries that it has already solved. Last year, the series won "Best Limited Series" at the Jackson Hole Wildlife Film Festival, besting "Planet Earth." The series is produced by ORF Universum.
