Hearst-Argyle Applauds WIYY-FM '98 Rock' in Baltimore on 'Station of The Year' Recognition from Radio & Records
NEW YORK and BALTIMORE, Sept. 24 /PRNewswire/ -- WIYY-FM, "98 Rock," has received the Station of the Year Award at the Radio & Records Industry Achievement Awards held late last week in Austin, Texas.
The awards, given at the Radio & Records convention, honor the best in broadcasting, encompassing the most popular music formats in America. The convention attracts top broadcast and recording-industry executives from across the country.
WIYY earned its award in the Active Rock Category, Markets 16-50. The station also was nominated in the categories of Program Director of the Year and Personality/Show of the Year.
