Mike Epps Season of Comedy Produced in Louisiana

BATON ROUGE, La., Sept. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- The "Mike Epps Comedy Show, Volume I" has just wrapped production of the first episodes of a new sketch comedy series starring actor/comedian Mike Epps. The Other LA Group (TOLAG) produced the episodes and will now be shopping the project for television.

Mike Epps, who was last seen in "Welcome Home Roscoe Jenkins," is widely known for his role as Day-Day in the films "Next Friday" and "Friday After Next." He recently completed production on the film "Next Day Air," and is currently in production on the Ice Cube project "Janky Promoters."

The showrunner for the Mike Epps Comedy Show is television veteran Bennie R. Richburg, Jr. ("Fresh Prince of Bel-Air," "Martin," "The Jamie Foxx Show," "Cuts," "One on One"). Dan Garcia of The Other LA Group is an Executive Producer along with Epps, Richburg and others. The show was created by Mike Epps and Bennie Richburg.

Mike Epps was represented by Todd Rubenstein and Benny Richburg was represented by Glenn Feig.

The series was independently produced by TOLAG, which is headquartered in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Over the past 5 years, Baton Rouge has seen a dramatic growth in the film, television & digital media industries.
