ENGLEWOOD, Colo., Aug. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Bronx, N.Y. native Joey Medina and Brooklyn, N.Y. native Shang, will perform in the Starz original stand-up comedy series "Martin Lawrence Presents 1st Amendment Stand-up" on Wednesday, Sept. 3 at 10 p.m. (ET/PT).

Medina's screen credits include "The Original Kings of Comedy" and "Comic View." His first screenplay "El Matador," in which he made his directorial debut, swept the 8th Annual East Los Angeles Chicano Film Festival in 2002 by winning Best Film, Best Director and Best Acting Awards.

Shang's TV credits include "Def Comedy Jam," "Comic View," "Heroes," and "CSI: Las Vegas." He is also the co-producer and host of BET's "Access Granted," and Jamie Foxx's "Laffapalooza!" A graduate of Carnegie Mellon University, Shang also attended The Art Institute of Pittsburgh. His comedy career began when a friend bet him $50 to take the stage during an open-mic night at a local comedy club. He won the bet and has been performing for 15 years.

"Martin Lawrence Presents 1st Amendment Stand-up" is executive produced by one of America's most popular actor/comedians, Martin Lawrence.
