MEXICO CITY, July 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Satelites Mexicanos, S.A. de C.V. ("Satmex") announced today that its Board of Directors has decided to explore a range of strategic alternatives to further enhance shareholder value. These alternatives may include, but are not limited to, continued execution of Satmex's operating plan, financing and launch of an additional satellite, sale or merger of Satmex or another strategic transaction. Satmex has retained Perella Weinberg Partners as financial advisors in the evaluation process.

Satmex noted that there can be no assurance that the exploration of strategic alternatives will result in any transaction. Satmex does not intend to disclose developments with respect to this process unless and until the review of strategic alternatives has been completed.
