Fundacion Azteca America Continues Voter Registration Campaign with New Public Service Announcements on Azteca America Network
LOS ANGELES, July 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Fundacion Azteca America, the non-profit arm of Azteca America dedicated to improving the lives of U.S. Latino residents, in conjunction with the Azteca America network, launches a massive public service announcement voter registration campaign.
The new public service announcements are part of an ongoing multimedia campaign that includes special television programs, printed material and online campaigns in conjunction with http://www.votolatino.org/ .
"We are pushing all the buttons possible to motivate political engagement in our community. The first step is voter registration and participation," said Luis J. Echarte, Chairman of Azteca America and President and CEO of Fundacion Azteca America.
The campaign serves as a source of Latino empowerment, where the Hispanic community is encouraged to exercise its rights, register to vote, and feel overall pride in Hispanic heritage. The public service announcements encourage the Latino community to register and vote for this year's November 4 elections.

Among the featured personalities in the public service announcements are community leaders Congressional Hispanic Leadership Institute Executive Director Octavio Hinojosa, Labor Council for Latin American Advancement Executive Director Gabriela Lemus, National Council of La Raza Director of Immigration and National Campaigns Clarissa Martinez De Castro, Voto Latino Executive Director Maria Teresa Petersen, and National Association of Latino Elected and Appointed Officials Executive Director Arturo Vargas.
In addition, some of Azteca America's most prominent talent will be part of the campaign, including: Ventaneando hosts Pati Chapoy, Pedro Sola and Monica Garza, La Academia finalist Cynthia; Dany Borja from Caiga Quien Caiga and Azteca America network news anchor Jose Martin Samano. Also featured are Anette Michel, Luz Blanchet and Rossana Najera.
