TV Host and Zoologist Stars in the Aquarium's New In-House Video Program
SAN FRANCISCO, July 22 /PRNewswire/ -- Beginning today, Aquarium of the Bay visitors have the opportunity to explore San Francisco's unique marine nature center with the help of zoologist and television star Jarod Miller. Miller, host of the nationally syndicated "Animal Exploration" (http://www.animalexploration.com/) and the new CBS reality show, "Greatest American Dog" (http://www.cbs.com/primetime/greatest_american_dog/), is also the star of the Aquarium's new five-part video guide.
"I share similar animal conservation and environmental goals as Aquarium of the Bay," Miller commented. "I'm always excited about opportunities to convey these important messages in all of my professional and personal efforts. Hosting the video guides is a great opportunity to spread the word to the nearly 600,000 people who visit Aquarium of the Bay each year."
"Teaming up with Jarod Miller to share the story of San Francisco Bay's aquatic animals and Aquarium of the Bay's important conservation messages has been a real win-win opportunity," said Aquarium of the Bay CEO John Frawley. "We enjoyed working with Jarod last winter when he visited the Aquarium to film a segment for 'Animal Exploration with Jarod Miller,' and are thrilled to have him back as the host our new video guides."
In addition to "Greatest American Dog," and "Animal Exploration," Jarod co-hosts Animal Planet's "PetFinder" (http://animal.discovery.com/tv/petfinder/petfinder.html). He has also made more than 100 appearances on programs including "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," "Late Night with Conan O'Brien" and "Live with Regis and Kelly." He hosts ecological segments for the Weather Channel's "Forecast Earth," and is a frequent guest on "The Rachael Ray Show."
During the five-part series displayed on large flat panel screens throughout Aquarium of the Bay, Miller introduces visitors to the marine nature center, discusses the sea-faring history of the Bay, describes some of the 20,000 animals that guests come into contact with, and shares take-home conservation tips.
