NEW YORK, June 23 /PRNewswire/ -- WFN: World Fishing Network, the only 24/7 cable television network dedicated exclusively to the angling and fishing industry, is teaming up with Verizon to "Adopt an Angler" and award America's most deserving angler the boat of his or her dreams -- an all-new, $15,000 Stratos 176XT, fully-equipped 17-foot bass fishing boat.

The promotion is being supported with a dedicated website which can be found at www.wfn.tv/adopt and www.verizon.net/adopt.

In addition, there will be on-air promotions, in-store campaigns at select Verizon Plus stores in Florida and Texas, and marketing opportunities at several consumer events. The promotion is the network's first in the USA since it launched on Verizon FiOS TV in November 2007.

To enter, Verizon FiOS TV subscribers can submit an essay or video explaining why they should be adopted by WFN. Videos must be between 10 seconds and three minutes and essays must be no longer than 500-words.
