A 'Knock-Out' Match: Kelly Ripa and Molly Sims Team Up to Fight Ovarian Cancer

Stars to Appear in Public Service Announcements for QVC Presents Super Saturday Live Benefiting The Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation

WEST CHESTER, Pa., June 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Kelly Ripa and Molly Sims are packing a one-two punch in the fight against ovarian cancer as the stars of the new public service announcements to promote QVC(R) Presents Super Saturday Live to benefit The Ovarian Cancer Research Fund (OCRF).

Ripa and Sims are scheduled to appear in both the print and television public service announcements promoting QVC Presents Super Saturday Live on QVC Saturday, July 26 from 2 - 4 PM (ET), with all net proceeds benefiting OCRF.

The exclusive sale, which was previously only available to Hamptons' tastemakers and celebrities, will reach QVC's 93 million U.S. homes, allowing shoppers throughout the country to get designer styles at a fraction of the suggested retail price while supporting OCRF.

Both Ripa and Sims are longtime supporters of OCRF, participating in charitable events and fundraisers as well as supporting educational initiatives for the organization. Ripa, who has served as host for Super Saturday for the past four years, will once again host the event in the Hamptons. Currently in its 11th year, Super Saturday will be broadcast live for the second consecutive year on leading multimedia retailer QVC.

"I am excited to be hosting this wonderful event and for the opportunity to support an organization that is so near and dear to my heart," said Ripa. "And the best part? I get to spend the day shopping for a great cause -- what could be better than that?"

Also an active supporter of Super Saturday, Sims says that she is "ecstatic to be a part of the endless fight against ovarian cancer" and praises the OCRF for its endeavors. "It truly is an honor to work with OCRF and help raise awareness for such an outstanding cause," she said.

"We are thrilled to be working with such powerful and inspiring women," said Bob Ayd, chief merchandising officer for QVC. "With their dedication to OCRF and positive influence on women everywhere, we look forward to bringing even more attention to this important cause."

"OCRF is thrilled to work with QVC again this year for the 11th Annual Super Saturday," said Faith Kates Kogan, president of OCRF. "With Kelly and Molly's endless support, combined with QVC's commitment to excellence, OCRF will continue its mission to raise much-needed funds for research and raise awareness of this deadly disease."
