CITYLIFE.TV Wins Emmy For Sports Show - 'The Rundown'

Alongside prestigious TV brands, BOSTON.TV gets 5 nominations, and wins at the New England Emmy Awards

BOSTON, June 5 /PRNewswire/ -- CITYLIFE.TV has launched its flagship local online video station, BOSTON.TV, and this startup just took home a prestigious Emmy Award during the 31st Annual New England Emmy awards ceremony.

BOSTON.TV's weekly high school sport highlight show, "The Rundown" won an Emmy in the category of Advanced Media Sports Programs. "The Rundown" features an irreverent look into the high-energy competition of high school sports as well as interviews from a number of local high school athletes through out the Greater Boston area.

"Analysts say around $4 billion in video advertising will come online over next few years," commented Tom Simons, founder of PARTNERS+simons. "As creative inventory like BOSTON.TV and 'The Rundown' come online, we'll see advertisers lining up to sponsor and align their brand with it."

"For an 18 month old startup to win an Emmy is really quite amazing," said Larry Weber, Chairman of W2 Group. "These folks at CITYLIFE.TV are onto something big and interesting."

"High School sports has always been an exciting part of every community," commented Eran Lobel, CEO of CITYLIFE.TV. "We are thrilled to bring it alive by delivering eye popping videos that these kids and their parents can watch on BOSTON.TV anytime on demand, and pass it along to hundreds of friends. 'The Rundown' is an exciting opportunity to shine the spotlight on these rising stars."
