Disney/Pixar's latest star has hit the nation's capital, and only the Newseum has him. To celebrate the release of the new animated feature WALL•E, the Newseum presents a special Family Day featuring an emphasis on technology and the environment.

11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. - Meet WALL•E: Disney/Pixar robot WALL•E greets Newseum visitors. (The New York Times-Ochs-Sulzberger Family Great Hall of News)

Noon to 1 p.m. - It's a race!: Find out what can deliver the news quicker, a text message or a telegram, at the demonstrations in the NBC News Interactive Newsroom. (Level 2)

1 to 2 p.m. - Hands On!: Don't just recycle yesterday's newspaper. Make something new! Reuse old newspapers to create newsboy caps, baskets and more. (Learning Center, Concourse Level)

All day - NewsMania(TM) Extra! Extra! Edition: Show what you know about today's news, environmental science and your favorite Pixar movies. NewsMania(TM) host Rita LaBoudit will be roving the Newseum in search of news savvy visitors.

All day - NewsHound Scavenger Hunt: Pick up your assignment at the Information Desk (Level 1), sniff out all the correct answers hidden within Newseum galleries.
