Telegent Expands Executive Team With Key Additions

Seasoned executives Geoff Ribar and Carlos Kirjner bring financial and industry expertise to Telegent

SUNNYVALE, Calif., May 28 /PRNewswire/ -- Telegent Systems, the company that makes television mobile with its high-performance single-chip mobile TV solutions, today announced that the company is expanding its executive leadership team with two key hires. The company has appointed Geoff Ribar as chief financial officer and Carlos Kirjner as vice president of business development.

As chief financial officer, Ribar will oversee Telegent's financial, legal and general administration operations. Geoff brings extensive experience in both private and public companies in the semiconductor industry, having served as chief financial officer at companies including SiRF, Matrix Semiconductor and nVidia, and as vice president and corporate controller at Advanced Micro Devices.

As vice president of business development, Kirjner is responsible for establishing the partnerships that will drive consumer adoption of Telegent's solutions worldwide. Kirjner formerly served as the Director of Enterprise Strategy and New Business Development for Vodafone Group, where he led the definition of Vodafone's global strategy for enterprises. Prior to Vodafone, Kirjner was a partner at McKinsey and Company, leading work with clients in the telecom, high-tech and private equity industries for more than ten years.
