Small Town Guys Plan to Make Big Comedy Impact With Nationwide Road Trip for Charity

Small Town Guys Plan to Make Big Comedy Impact With Nationwide Road Trip for Charity

LAKE WALES, Fla., May 13 /PRNewswire/ -- What would you do to make your dreams come true? In this day and age, people's dreams are often so big and vast that sometimes they seem too far away to reach. A group of small town guys has tried for too long to make their dreams come true, so they are going to set out on a cross country trip and make it happen themselves, but it's not as simple as it sounds. The guys have created a website, http://www.skittinacrossamerica.com/, for their journey!

The guys will depart in mid-July on a cross-country road trip meeting up with several big-name sketch comedy groups, comedians and actors to film a comedy sketch with each of these groups as they meet up with them. The entire trip will be filmed for a documentary DVD which the guys will sell on their website, with all the proceeds going the "Make-A-Wish Foundation." So in essence, these guys are going out there to make their dreams come true and are also helping to fulfill the dreams of millions of children in need as well.

The group is asking for help to make this long journey possible. They are taking donations on their website of money, gas cards and anything else that can be offered. Any companies that sponsor their trip, or donate anything, will be featured on their website, vehicle and DVD. "Whatever you have we need it to make this trip possible," says the group in their promotional video on their website.

These guys are no strangers to the World of Comedy. In the last couple of years they have created a strong name for themselves as the hugely popular Internet sketch comedy group known as "Wooden Steel Productions." Their videos can be seen on their website http://www.woodensteel.tv/ and have been viewed online over one million times! They have worked with networks such as NBC, CBS and The101onDirecTV, and have been in talks with shows such as The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and Total Request Live on MTV. Shane Hartline, who founded Wooden Steel Productions, won the National Big Shot Live online Acting Competition put together by CBS earlier this year.

Though this may be a massive idea and to some seem too difficult to accomplish, these guys are going to do it. This simple idea, put together by a group of ambitious young guys with a dream, will give way to an incredible opportunity not only to see parts of the country these individuals thought they'd never see, but also to help children in desperate need in the process.
