This Memorial Day weekend, Maxa predicts more and more travelers will

prices at an all-time high, AAA reported that 37.8 million Americans are
expected to travel 50 miles or more over Memorial Day weekend, a decrease
of less than one percent over last year. Enterprise Rent-A-Car says
rentals are already up 20 percent this week as we head into the holiday
weekend.

With a vacation day or two wrapped around a weekend or holiday such as the

Maxa calls "weekend travel bursts." He attributes this trend to the
slumping U.S. economy and limited U.S. vacation time.
