Citadel Broadcasting Becomes the First Organization-Wide Radio Broadcasting Company to Partner With EPA Through its Innovative Green Power Partnership Program
Commits To Run $1 Million In Educational Green PSAs
LAS VEGAS, April 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Citadel Broadcasting Corporation today announced that it is the first radio broadcasting company in its entirety to partner with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency in its Green Power Partnership program http://www.epa.gov/greenpower. As part of its commitment, Citadel will purchase renewable energy certificates to reduce the greenhouse gas emissions associated with the Company's conventional use of electricity. Citadel Broadcasting and its radio network division, ABC Radio Networks, has also pledged to run more than $1 million in airtime to promote the benefits of going green to listeners over the next two years. Additionally, the Company will implement a variety of multi-platform strategies; all targeted at reducing its carbon footprint.

More than 200 radio stations and offices across the Citadel group will be looking for ways to reduce their carbon footprint and provide environmental leadership in the communities they serve.
