WHO: HBO is presenting a special event honoring one of America's
Founding Fathers, John Adams. The event will feature a preview of the HBO
Films seven-part miniseries event, JOHN ADAMS, based on David McCullough's
Pulitzer prize-winning book and one of the best-selling American
historical biographies of all times. Executive Producer Tom Hanks,
American historian David McCullough, HBO Films SVP Kary Antholis, and
Virginia Governor Timothy M. Kaine will deliver remarks at the event.
Additional special guests will include Executive Producer Gary Goetzman,
Director Tom Hooper, and Writer and Co-Executive Producer Kirk Ellis.

WHAT: JOHN ADAMS chronicles the life of this remarkable historical
figure, a man whose fiercely independent spirit, reverence for the rule of
law and commitment to personal liberty profoundly influenced the values on
which our country was founded. HBO Films presents a Playtone Production
starring Paul Giamatti and Laura Linney as John and Abigail Adams.
Directed by Emmy Award-winner Tom Hooper; Tom Hanks and Gary Goetzman
executive produce, Kirk Ellis writes and serves as co-executive producer
with Frank Doelger, David Coatsworth, and Steven Shareshian.

The seven-part miniseries begins on March 5, 1770 during the Boston
Massacre and ends on July 4, 1826 with the deaths of both Thomas Jefferson
and John Adams. The first two parts debut on HBO back-to-back on Sunday,
March 16 (8:00- 10:45 p.m. ET/PT) with other parts debuting on subsequent
Sundays at 9pm through April 20.
