Missanelli Added to 950 ESPN Roster in Philly
PHILADELPHIA, March 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Greater Media Philadelphia announced today Mike Missanelli has been named afternoon drive host on the new 950 ESPN/WPEN-AM. He will begin his new position effective April 1, 2008.

Missanelli is a regular panelist on "Out of Bounds," a sports-themed debate show seen on CN8, The Comcast Network. He previously worked at 1050 ESPN in New York City, where he served as the co-host of the Stephen A. Smith Show. Prior to that, he spent 13 years as a highly-rated sports talker with 610-WIP, and as the host of "The Philly Guys" morning radio show on 93.3 FM WMMR.
Missanelli began his journalistic career as a reporter and sportswriter with the Philadelphia Inquirer, before moving on to various radio and television endeavors. From 1999 through 2002, he worked as the nightly sports anchor on the WB-17 News at Ten on WPHL-TV in Philadelphia. Prior to that, Missanelli served as co-producer and co-host on two popular local television shows, "Monday Night Live with Ricky Watters," on SportsChannel Philadelphia, and "The Great Sports Debate," on PRISM. In addition, he appeared often as a guest commentator on "Sports Final," Sunday nights on NBC-10 in Philadelphia.
The Penn State University and Widener Law School graduate was also the founder, co-publisher and editor-in-chief of The Fan, an all-sports magazine circulated in Philadelphia from 1994-1999.
Missanelli, who was a varsity baseball player at Penn State, currently has a Penn State football book out, entitled The Perfect Season: How Penn State Stopped a Hurricane and Won a National Championship. He is also a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association and teaches a sports and entertainment law class at St. Josephs University in Philadelphia, PA.
