Customers Take Center Stage in 'This is FiOS; This is Big' Verizon FiOS Advertising Campaign
Ad Features Typical Consumers Describing Their Own Experiences With Verizon's Advanced All-Fiber-Optic Network
NEW YORK, March 13 /PRNewswire/ -- Verizon customers are appearing in a new television ad to talk about the power of Verizon FiOS TV and FiOS Internet and their experiences using the services.
Steven Bagley of Teaneck, N.J., said it was easy to talk on camera about the differences between FiOS and cable. "FiOS is a product I tell people about," he said. "I tell people that it's just like Verizon says it is -- the picture is really clear; the sound is different."

The ad is part of Verizon's new campaign themed, "This is FiOS; This is Big," that uses both celebrities and everyday people to showcase the groundbreaking home entertainment and broadband experiences delivered over Verizon's advanced fiber-optic network straight to customers' homes.
"No one speaks to the power of our network more eloquently than our FiOS customers," said John Wimsatt, Verizon senior vice president, product marketing. "When they talk about the unbelievable clarity of their FiOS TV picture quality, or the super-fast speed of their FiOS Internet, you see the excitement in their eyes and hear it in their voices.
"You can tell that their home entertainment and broadband experiences are at an entirely new level with FiOS," he said. "Their stories clearly show that there's fiber straight to the home, and then there's everything else. The network really does make a difference."
In the new ad, FiOS customer Bagley comments on his FiOS TV service, saying he couldn't believe how "sharp, crisp and clear" the picture quality is. Jack Boghosston of River Edge, N.J., agrees, saying, "It's the best picture and sound you're ever going to get."
Customers also speak to the power, speeds and capabilities of FiOS internet service. Joe Andrews, from Maplewood, N.J., says he is "blown away" by his FiOS Internet service, which is "like having a freight train of data coming into your home."
The ad also features excerpts of rave third-party reviews of FiOS from leading industry publications, including: "No one comes close to Verizon FiOS for overall value" (Computerworld); "a near flawless TV experience" (CNET); and "Glorious. Spectacular. Almost breathtaking speed" (PC Magazine).
Verizon's "This is FiOS; This is Big" campaign -- created by McCann Erickson New York -- launched last month with an action-packed, 30-second TV spot featuring Michael Bay, celebrated director of cutting-edge, high-octane blockbusters like "Transformers," "Pearl Harbor," "Bad Boys" and "Armageddon." The explosion-filled ad showcases Verizon's ultra-high-speed symmetrical FiOS Internet service, which allows people to send files as quickly as they receive them, with upload speeds that "blow cable away."
