Did Media Mogul and Social Networking CEO Inspire Randy Jackson's 'America's Best Dance Crew?'
LOS ANGELES, Feb. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Judy Myers , Silicon Valley's newly crowned visionary whose social networking site, uboomerutv.com described as a "killer start-up" is very happy that "Idol" judge, Randy Jackson is premiering his new show, "Americas Best Dance Crew," February 7 on MTV at 10:00 P.M.
Myers states, "For the last five years I shopped, and pitched my 'All American Jam Skate Dance Challenge,' a reality competition show featuring an all out fierce competition between the East Coast V West Coast, complete with a killer audition demo reel.
"Known as 'The Roller Diva of Central Park' and a champion jam skate dancer, I knew this show would be a hit. I knew who I wanted to host it...Mario Lopez. I was in talks with his agent, sending him the project and reel. I begged him to get Mario...and this was before he was a contestant on 'Dancing With The Stars.' Mario is hosting 'America's Best Dance Crew' and is a perfect fit for the show.
"I even pitched MTV, Dick Clark Productions, Bunhim/Murray, and nobody 'got it.' Two years ago, hanging out at Hollywood's Renaissance Hotel while American Idol execs and judges were giving press interviews. I wanted to pitch Executive Producer Nigel Lythgoe. All of a sudden, Simon, Paula and Randy were standing next to me. Randy and I started talking and wanting to see his reaction, I showed a picture of Jam roller skate dancers. He smiled and said, 'Cute!'
"Fast forward. When I saw Randy's preview of his new show on MTV last week, it had one jam skate dance team, 'Break Sk8ters.' There are eight dance teams and they are the only one on skates performing this Thursday night. They are subscribers to my YouTube site and have their skate video on it http://www.youtube.com/user/blazinfilms. I know they will be successful as I have had 50,000 page views of the hip-hop jam skate dancers in Central Park. Thanks, Randy for giving skate dancers the exposure, whose time has come!"
