NAPERVILLE, Ill., Jan. 25 /PRNewswire/ -- TDVision Systems, Inc., the leader in design and development of 3D digital infrastructures and visualization systems, debuted the first portable, all digital high def 3D visualization system, the new 720p TDVisor-HD, at CES '08 in Las Vegas.

At CES '08 visitors experienced the new TDVisor-HD and were immersed in a virtual 108-inch diagonal screen. The TDVisor showcased high definition stereo content including 3D movies and games and the totally redesigned AlterSpace. The AlterSpace is a stereo virtual world where users can meet, chat, create their own environments, and upload and watch 3D movies. The AlterSpace is slated to become a stereo content purchase and distribution system with its own marketplace.
TDVision is the only technology simultaneously compatible with 2D infrastructures and also is fully compatible with existing MPEG decoders. It is established and tested in mission critical military applications and electronics.
"For the past 60 years we have been watching television in 2 dimensions, but no matter how high definition the screen or how large, we will never feel like we are really part of the action, now TDVision is making this happen." said Manuel Gutierrez, CEO of TDVision.
Named one of the "most compelling technologies of CES 2006" by CNET, TDVision became part of the Intel Software Partner Program and created the TDVAlliance, a collaboration of hi-tech companies working to create an infrastructure that will be the catalyst for TDVision's multi-purpose 3D technology. Integrated Micro Displays Limited, Himax Display, 3D-ETC and The DiMonte Group have all joined as TDVAlliance members.
"We had a great response at CES this year," said Ethan Schur, Director of Marketing for TDVision Systems, Inc. "The new HD portable 3D device is something no one has ever seen before, and they are amazed. Interest drawn from this announcement from within the industry has been overwhelming," he continued.
TDVision Systems, Inc. is the owner of several 3D-related patents for proprietary system architectures, which will propel a media breakthrough by providing true 3D through means of this new digital technology. This technology allows the acquiring, emulation and processing of a 3D image from a video stream or computer-generated image. The architecture also allows the use of current existing infrastructures, and with the addition of TDVision's hardware, enables true 3D in High Definition.
