Maestro Richardson Makes Music So Much Sweeter; American Audiophile Ex-Pat Makes Fortune Listening for What Other Mortals Can't Hear
The following is the first in a three-part series
GUANGZHOU, China, Jan. 23 /PRNewswire/ -- Philip Richardson was clearly born in the wrong century.
A throwback to the classical era of Beethoven, Richardson, 44, has made his millions and personal fortune listening for what other people can't hear. President of TrueAnalog Inc. (http://www.trueanalog.com/) here in Southern China, the Long Beach, CA., born Richardson uses his tuning-fork like ears and software to design, manufacture and sell the very best OEM/ODM loudspeakers in the world.
But you won't find the TrueAnalog name stamped on the side of any speaker or see them at independent specialist audio dealer anytime soon. Richardson's TrueAnalog Inc. is strictly an OEM manufacturer remaining invisible to the end consumer, strictly an OEM/ODM manufacturer for private label ... yet you can find them all by just ... listening.
"Audio has changed formats from many venues, the latest being Apple's I-Pod creating/making the process of listening to music fashionable to wear and easy to listen to and has become an important bridge to couple human beings to music again. I just wish they did not limit the manufacturing of vinyl records," says Richardson who boasts of his own personal collection of some 9,000+ original recording collection and utilizes them to assist in "voicing" the systems he manufactures to create the latest in high-end audio loudspeakers.
Audiophile Richardson, who relocated to Southern China after arriving for the first time in 1997, bought controlling interest in what had been a small, inconspicuous speaker manufacturer. That was five years ago. Today, True Analog has become the undisputed manufacturing leader in creating the highest quality audio speakers that you will only find at the very best brick and mortar audio stores on New York's Fifth Avenue or in Hollywood, as Richardson leads a team of 100 staff and 24 engineers with annual sales more than US$7 million at the OEM level.
Working in China has freed Richardson, a former US Army Specialist, from regulatory constraints in America and allowed him to be totally creative in his audio art form. He incorporates highly specialized testing/measuring equipment that his company has perfected from months of trial and error. He explained that, "To do the same in the States would take a very long time and be cost prohibitive. Here in China, we can experiment with new materials and measure them with the finest testing equipment available and manufacture a fast and accurate release of new materials."
"Hard work and the final product/results are more rewarding than a big salary. The true profit/reward of your work is what is produced. If I was born in the era of MonteVerde, or Carl Orff or other great classical demi-gods, I would have worked day and night to give them all a run for their lives," added Richardson.
TrueAnalog Inc., strictly an OEM/ODM manufacturer of loudspeaker systems for home audio, can be contacted at http://www.trueanalog.com/.
