Fortify Software Will Premier Documentary About 'The New Face of Cybercrime' in San Francisco on January 17

SAN MATEO, Calif., Jan. 14 /PRNewswire/ -- Fortify(R) Software, the market leader in enterprise application security solutions, will hold the world premiere of a new documentary, "The New Face of Cybercrime," at a private screening in San Francisco on Thursday, January 17. After the premier, a panel of security experts will discuss cybercrime, and Fortify Software will host a reception.

"Cybercrime is no longer committed just by teenage hackers showing off their computer skills," said John M. Jack, president and CEO of Fortify Software. "Today the internet is stalked by sophisticated criminals looking to exploit the weaknesses in corporate computing security to pull off crimes that can bring in millions of dollars. No organization can consider itself safe. We sponsored this documentary to bring wider awareness to the size and scope of cybercrime and to stimulate new thinking about how to deal with it."

Created by Academy Award(R)-nominated filmmaker Frederic Golding, "The New Face of Cybercrime" highlights over twenty interviews with everyone from hackers to security gurus and top business executives, such as Matthew Devost, CEO, The Terrorism Research Center and Mike Ullman, Chairman and CEO, JC Penney Company, Inc. By examining cybercrime from a variety of perspectives, the film provides a comprehensive overview of the problem and of the latest directions in network security.

Following the screening, a panel of security experts will lead a discussion on how organizations can protect their information from the activities of cyber criminals.
