"I was diagnosed with Stage 4 Metastatic breast cancer, which means that it is advanced or life threatening, at only 30 years old," said vibrant Stefanie LaRue. "This diagnosis has changed my life, and it is now my mission to change others' lives and view of breast cancer. Cancer does not discriminate. The days of hearing 'you're too young to get breast cancer' are over, and I am living proof. I am alive to educate others, which is why I founded the Stefanie LaRue Advocacy Coalition. I am thrilled and honored to have the support of so many people for the upcoming benefit concert Music of the Light, and I hope to share with others the light that has been shed on me in the past two years."
Journey Circle is the founding sponsor of Music of the Light, and is doing so as a community service in conjunction with Executive Musical Producer, Gina Black, Executive Musical Director, Lou Forestieri, and Musical Director, Neill Chambers. Journey's Circle Directors for this event are Robert Robotti, Marilyn Robotti, Dolapo and Jo Asiru.
"Together, we all share the sense that music is magical. It creates a sense of true harmony and healing, celebration and excitement, hope and wonder while bringing people of all kinds together in a way that simply, lifts our spirits and awareness," said Executive Musical Producer, Gina Black. "We anticipate great success for Music of the Light and the Stefanie LaRue Advocacy Coalition and are thrilled to be helping such a wonderful cause and an extraordinary woman."
