SYNOPSIS
Spanish archaeologists Jose Maria and his sister Mercedes travel to Mexico to investigate newly discovered information on the Virgin of Guadalupe. While Jose Maria discusses the phenomenon with experts, Mercedes joins her friend Diego, a handsome Mexican, on a pilgrimage to the Basilica, participating in celebrations along the way. Through these journeys, each learns the history of Mexico and the meaning behind many of its traditions.
The story of the 16th century native Mexican, St. Juan Diego, and his encounters with the Virgin is interwoven with the present-day story of Jose Maria, who reassesses his own neglect of his wife and children, and Mercedes, who comes to terms with her desire for a home and family. As these stories unfold, Our Lady of Guadalupe reveals herself to each of the characters, guiding them toward the happiness and serenity they seek.
GUADALUPE is an epic film that inspires, informs and entertains -- and one that should be seen by everyone!
