NEW YORK, Dec. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- There's no reason to wait for the ball to drop on New Year's Eve to declare that 2007 has been an amazing year for Lifetime Networks. Today Mike Greco, Executive Vice President, Research, Lifetime Networks, announced Lifetime Television will finish the year #1 in basic cable total day among its key demos of W18-49 and W25-54. For the fifth consecutive year, Lifetime Movie Network will be the #2 women's network in households, W18-49 and W25-54 in prime and total day.

Powering these ratings is a strong Fourth Quarter, with Lifetime up 20 percent among W18-34 and 14 percent among W18-49 in prime, while Lifetime Movie Network is posting a robust 17 percent gain in primetime household ratings.

Said Greco: "As our ground-breaking achievements of the year underscore, there is a strong and unique relationship between Lifetime and women that has made us the leader in women's entertainment. The power of our brand is reflected in our first place standings across our critical demos, testament to our popularity among women and our value to advertisers and distributors."

Other notable 2007 Lifetime Networks ratings accomplishments include:
* Year-to-date, Lifetime is up 17 percent in prime among younger women
(W18-34) marking four consecutive months of growth (including December)
in this demo.
* Lifetime Original Movies rank #1 among ad-supported cable original
movies in HH rating (2.3) and W25-54 rating (1.6).
* The most successful series in the network's 23-year history, "Army
Wives" is the year's #1 new cable drama in W18-34, W18-49 and W25-54 --
and #2 among all ad supported 2007 cable dramas -- while averaging 4.2
million P2+.
* myLifetime.com more than doubled (up 105 percent) page views, year to
date, compared to 2006.

The company's momentum continues in 2008 with Lifetime's new programming featuring the reality series "How to Look Good Naked," hosted by Carson Kressley, and "Matched in Manhattan," both premiering Friday, January 4, followed by "Top This Party" on Friday, January 11.
