City Year and BusRadio Announce New Partnership
City Year Public Service Messages to Reach BusRadio's One Million Young Listeners Nationwide
BOSTON, Dec. 17 /PRNewswire/ -- City Year and BusRadio today announced a new partnership that brings the message that children can make a positive difference in the lives of others to a national radio network that provides age-appropriate music, original programming and public service messages to one million kids during their daily bus rides.
Through the partnership, BusRadio will help promote the mission of City Year by playing public service announcements (PSAs) and other announcements on its daily elementary, middle and high school radio programs. The PSAs and programming developed through the BusRadio City Year partnership are intended to inspire students by sharing how other people their age are improving their communities, giving them ideas for actions they can take and conveying City Year's belief in the power of young people to change the world.
"Our partnership with BusRadio is an innovative way to directly share City Year's commitment to helping young people make a difference with students," said Michael Brown, CEO and Co-Founder of City Year. "We are grateful to BusRadio for its interest in incorporating messages of hope, service and idealism in their broadcasts."
"BusRadio is delighted to partner with City Year to help turn on young people across the country to City Year's mission of service and to the importance of civic engagement and social entrepreneurship in their communities," said Steven Shulman, president and co-founder of BusRadio.
