RTN to Launch in Seattle

LITTLE ROCK, Ark., Nov. 21 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Retro Television Network (RTN), which is nationally owned and distributed by Equity Media Holdings Corporation (NASDAQ:EMDA), announced today that it will partner with COX Television to bring RTN programming to Seattle, the nation's 14th largest television market. The new affiliate will launch in January on a digital stream of KIRO-TV, Seattle's CBS affiliate.

"Fans of great television will fall in love with RTN's 'Primetime All the Time' lineup," said Mark Dvornik, Executive Vice President of RTN. "Viewers will love seeing Don Adams and Barbara Feldon in Get Smart, prior to next summer's hit movie starring Steve Carell as Maxwell Smart and Anne Hathaway as Agent 99, and will enjoy escaping to Waikiki Beach each evening as they watch Hawaii 5-0 and Magnum P.I. In addition, the weekends are a cavalcade of hit shows, including It Takes a Thief, Gunsmoke, A-Team, Knight Rider, Emergency, Wild, Wild West and many more."

"We're excited that Western Washington viewers and advertisers will have the opportunity to enjoy some of the best classic television programming," said Eric Lerner, Vice President and General Manager of KIRO-TV. "Even if you didn't grow up watching Mission: Impossible, Happy Days or Hawaii 5-0, these shows are still fun to watch and we can't wait to get started with RTN."

RTN is a new television network that provides each affiliate a customized feed with classic hit shows, in addition to local programming including news, weather and sports. RTN is specifically designed to go on a broadcast digital channel and provides local broadcasters a way to get ratings and successfully monetize their digital spectrum.
