Republican Presidential Candidate Mitt Romney States Immigration Position on Azteca America's Political Forum 'Issues: Caras y Voces'
LOS ANGELES, Nov. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Azteca America, the fastest-growing Hispanic television network in the United States, is proud to have hosted Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney on this Monday's broadcast of "Issues: Caras y Voces", a political forum hosted by veteran Latino journalist Armando Guzman.
Former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney, whose father was actually born in the Mexican state of Chihuahua, expressed his position on immigration.
"I feel very strongly that legal immigration, as I said today, is a great source of vitality and strength for America," said Romney. "At the same time I want to end illegal immigration so that we protect our legal immigration system."
Romney has surprised many analysts as he continues to climb in popularity and is currently leading several polls for the Republican primaries in Iowa, New Hampshire and most recently in South Carolina. Following a successful career in the private sector as CEO of Bain & Co., Romney was credited for leading a turnaround of the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City. He was governor of Massachusetts from 2003 through 2007.
Past guests of "Issues: Caras y Voces" include: New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson, California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, Senator Mel Martinez (R-FL), Congressman Xavier Becerra (D-CA) and Senator Harry Reid (D-NV).
Don't Miss "Issues: Caras y Voces" Mondays during the transmission of Noticiero Azteca America, at 11:00 pm EST and PST/ 10:00 pm CST, with Tuesday repetitions at 10:00 am EST and PST / 9:00 am. Webcast repetitions are available at www.aztecaamerica.com/coporate and at www.fundacionaztecaamerica.org.
The forum is also broadcast in Mexico on Proyecto 40.
