Doctors Sideline Meat Loaf

Doctors Sideline Meat Loaf

LONDON, Nov. 6 -- Doctors have diagnosed Meat Loaf with an inter-vocal cord cyst. As a result, the following remaining dates on Meat Loaf's Three Bats Tour -- which was to offer fans in upcoming arenas a rare chance to see their favorite singer live for the third time this year -- have been cancelled:

06.11.07 London, UK Wembley Arena
08.11.07 Nottingham, UK Nottingham Arena
11.11.07 Cardiff, UK Cardiff Arena
13.11.07 Horsens, DEN Forum
15.11.07 Bergen, NOR Grieghallen
17.11.07 Stockholm, SWE Hovet
20.11.07 Rotterdam, NET Ahoy
22.11.07 Belfast, UK Odyssey
24.11.07 Killarney, IRE INEC
27.11.07 Manchester, UK MEN Arena
29.11.07 Birmingham, UK Birmingham NEC

Additional information for current ticket holders will be available shortly on meatloaf.net.

While most cysts of this type require surgery, voice therapy is usually conducted first to determine if it is necessary. It will be known in approximately four to six weeks what further course of action may be required.

Said Meat Loaf, "It really breaks my heart not to be able to perform these shows. I was really looking forward to capping off a great year and celebrating the start of the holidays with the fans. But I have to do what the doctors tell me so I can look forward to healing and coming back strong in 2008. Let me dispel any rumors before they start -- I will be back."
