Jazz Musician Arturo Sandoval to Sign His CD 'Rumba Palace' at Borders(R) Silver Spring Store

Who: A protege of the legendary jazz master Dizzy Gillespie, Arturo
Sandoval has since evolved into one of the world's most
acknowledged guardians of jazz trumpet and flugel horn as well as
a renowned classical artist, pianist and composer. His playing
can be heard on Dave Grusin's soundtrack for "Havana," the "Mambo
Kings" soundtrack with his Grammy-nominated composition "Mambo
Caliente," "The Perez Family" soundtrack and the Kennedy Center's
ballet "Pepito's Story" choreographed by Debbie Allen. Sandoval
has been awarded four Grammy Awards, six Billboard Awards and an
Emmy Award, the latter for composing the underscore of the HBO
movie based on his life, "For Love or Country" starring Andy
Garcia. His latest CD is "Rumba Palace."
