Wong Kar Wai to Create Exclusive Film for Philips Next Generation Ambilight Television

AMSTERDAM, August 1/PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Renowned for his unrivalled use of color and light to
create a seductive atmosphere, the jury president of the 2006 Cannes Film
Festival, film director Wong Kar Wai, has been specially commissioned to
create a short movie for Philips' next generation Ambilight television, which
will be premiered at IFA in Berlin on August 30.

Inspired by the concept of seduction by light, the short film, will be
shown exclusively on next generation Ambilight televisions where light and
color will be brought to life in an unparalleled, highly visual and immersive
fashion, drawing the audience into the full emotional experience Ambilight
offers. Starring Amelie Daure, an up-and-coming French actress who has
starred in various French films including Les Tremblements Lointains, the
exclusive content will feature iconic imagery, blending color and light, to
create a cutting edge visual experience.
