Monolith Films Supports the HD VMD Format in Eastern Europe

LONDON, Aug. 30 /PRNewswire/ -- New Medium Enterprises, Inc. (NME) (BULLETIN BOARD: NMEN) , a company bringing affordable HD home entertainment to the globe through the HD VMD (Versatile Multilayer Disc), announced a deal with the largest Eastern European independent content distributor, Monolith Films. Titles provided by Monolith will be released on HD VMD discs, enabling the region's movie fans to finally experience the quality of true HD at home.

Monolith Films was established in 2000 and has an impressive film catalogue of 450 titles. Monolith has become a major player in Poland's and Eastern Europe's cinematographic industry specializing in three main business areas: theatre distribution, home video distribution and international sales.

Their agreement with New Medium Enterprises will see the release of a new Bundle Box with an HD VMD player and 5 new Monolith films release of other new titles, so that the HD VMD movie catalogue will continue to grow progressively.

What you should know about HD VMD:
