LMN Scores Two First Place Finishes Among Female Subscribers in Latest 2007 Beta Cable Subscriber Study
For the Past 10 Years, LMN Has Been Ranked the #1 Mid-Sized Network on 'Interest'
- LMN ranks #1 for the sixth year in a row in 'Aided Network Awareness' -
NEW YORK, Aug. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- LMN (Lifetime Movie Network), the second most-watched women's network on basic cable, continues to be a highly valued midsize/emerging network among Women Cable/Dish Subscribers, according to the 2007 Beta Cable Subscriber Study. The network maintained its top status among this group in "aided network awareness" and "#1 interest" midsize/ emerging network for the 10th consecutive year.
LMN ranked #1 on aided awareness among All Adults (90%) for the sixth year in a row when compared with other mid-sized networks (on par with last year, 88%). This year, the awareness among Women 18+ increased 6 percentage points to 96% (up from 90% in 2006).
Among Women 18+
-- LMN also came in first place on awareness among Women 18-49 and Women
18-34 (96% for both) with levels on par with the levels attained in
2006 (94% and 93% respectively).
Among Women 18+, LMN was the #1 mid-sized network on "Interest." More than
two-thirds (67%, same as 2006, and down from 73% in 2005) expressing high
interest ("4" or "5" on a 5-point interest scale) in the network based on
a 50 word description. For the past ten years, LMN has maintained its 1st
place position on these women.
Among Women 18+
-- LMN also ranked 1st among Women 18-49 (67%) and Women 18-34 (68%)
Telephone interviews were conducted in April/May of 2007 among a national
sample of 1,000 adults aged 18+ that was evenly divided by gender.
