Kraft Foods Launches New Program to Support People With Diabetes

Good Eating, Good Living Radio Show and Website Aim to Clear Up Confusion and Isolation Often Associated with Diabetes

NORTHFIELD, Ill., Aug. 21 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Today Kraft Foods Inc. (NYSE:KFT) announced a new initiative designed to provide support for the millions of Americans living with diabetes. The initiative, Good Eating, Good Living, is a syndicated radio show, ongoing direct mail publication and Website intended for people with diabetes and their caregivers. There are currently more than 14 million people in the United States diagnosed with diabetes(1), and many more who are considered to have pre-diabetes. This effort is part of the company's continued focus on programs that are most relevant for consumers and important to growing its business.

The Good Eating, Good Living radio show is hosted by health and lifestyle expert and registered physician assistant Amy Hendel, R-PA, features segments with registered dietitian and certified diabetes educator, Edye Wagner, RD, CDE, and is scheduled to air for 22 episodes beginning August 25 in cities across the country.
