OAKS, Pa., Aug. 28 /PRNewswire/ -- Comcast Corporation, the nation's leading provider of cable, entertainment and communications products and services, released its current Big Ten game schedule on http://www.comcast.com/sports, where it will be updated throughout the season.
Among the best Big Ten games available during this regular football season on Comcast are: Ohio State at Michigan, Michigan at Michigan State, Ohio State at Penn State, Purdue at Minnesota and Ohio State at Minnesota as well as many others. Additionally, non-conference Big Ten games on Comcast during the first few weeks of the season include: Michigan State at Notre Dame, Notre Dame at Penn State, Notre Dame at Michigan, Washington State at Wisconsin, University of Alabama-Birmingham at Michigan State, Missouri at Illinois and Oregon at Michigan.
Comcast remains the premier destination for football this fall, with about 100 NFL games, more than 150 college games and the best Big Ten match-ups, without burdening our customers with the additional cost of the Big Ten Network.
The company's first priority is to protect our customers and to make the Big Ten Network available in the fairest way to all our customers. From the beginning, we have said we would like to carry the Network and will make it available immediately as part of our Sports Entertainment Package. We simply cannot allow Fox and the Big Ten to burden all of our customers -- the vast majority of whom have no interest in Big Ten sports -- with a $13 Big Ten tax.
Comcast provides the best college football, on both a regional and national basis to its customers with more than 150 games from the SEC, Pac-10, Big 12, Big East, and ACC throughout the entire college football season via its partners ABC, ESPN, ESPN 2, CBS, NBC, CSTV, FOX, FOX Sport Net and Comcast SportsNet.
In addition, Comcast customers in Michigan, Illinois, and Indiana who subscribe to Comcast's Digital Cable service and who are fans of Michigan State, Penn State, and Purdue can also obtain numerous hours of pre-and-post- game coverage when their schools play Notre Dame this season via Comcast's exclusive Notre Dame ON DEMAND service. Comcast also offers digital cable customers in Pennsylvania Penn State ON DEMAND where they can obtain news and information about Penn State.
