Movie Tavern to Debut New Flagship Location at Hulen Mall in Fort Worth

Hulen Movie Tavern location will feature first-run films and fresh flavors, served in state-of-the-art comfort

FORT WORTH, Texas, Aug. 28 /PRNewswire/ -- One of the most exciting entertainment concepts in the United States will open its flagship location in Fort Worth on Friday, September 7th.

Movie Tavern is the leading operator of cinema eateries in the country. Cinema eateries combine the enjoyment of first-run movies with a first-rate, full service dining experience provided by top-notch wait staff. A full menu of flavorful, chef-prepared Classic American favorites is served to Movie Tavern guests while they enjoy first-run feature films in state-of-the-art, comfortable auditoriums.

"We have been working on our dynamic new location in Fort Worth since January, and can't wait to show guests a new level of experience in film and food on September 7th," said Jeff Benson, CEO of Movie Tavern Partners and founder of the concept. "As we've opened locations in key markets across the country and as our brand grows, we're bringing in all the best of Movie Tavern to Fort Worth and our home in North Texas."

The successful concept began its $2.5 million construction on the Hulen site (4920 South Hulenat Oakmont) in the first quarter of 2007. Hulen Movie Tavern has been converted from the previous UA 10 and will feature 10 stadium- style auditoriums.

The theatre will be previewed by the local community via special events, including a celebration co-hosted with the Presbyterian Night Shelter.

The Hulen Movie Tavern location will be similar to Movie Tavern's highly successful location in Bedford. In contrast to the company's inaugural location near Ridgmar Mall -- the Ridgmar Movie Tavern -- the Hulen location will feature full service at your seat, including a restaurant-style lobby with a full bar and plasma screens broadcasting sporting events and popular programming, as well as stadium seating and full restaurant service in all auditoriums while guests enjoy first-run films.

Hulen Movie Tavern also will include an outdoor patio, a special entertainment feature that will include live musical performances on weekends after the grand opening and a big screen television for sports events and special broadcasts."

"Hulen Movie Tavern is an exciting partnership with General Growth," said Jeff Benson, CEO of Movie Tavern. "In a regional mall setting, we know that Hulen Movie Tavern will be the premier family destination for entertainment in the Southwest Fort Worth area."

Providing fans the convenience of the dining and movie-watching experience in one relaxing atmosphere, the concept features state-of-the-art technology and comfort, including:

-- Stadium-style seating in the auditoriums, including executive high-back
leather rocker chairs for ultimate relaxation while enjoying films.
-- DTS digital sound in all auditoriums.
-- A menu consisting of dozens of high-quality, chef-prepared entrees,
chopped salads, appetizers, hand-tossed pizzas, signature sandwiches,
black angus burgers, and delectable desserts.
-- Full menu, beer, wine and mixed drinks served at your seat in each
auditorium.
-- A proprietary call button system to page your wait staff at each seat
in every theatre.
-- A stylish lounge and full-service bar for guests to enjoy before and
after the movie/meal. The lounge includes granite bar tops, dark-wood
and brass accents, and stylish tables and chairs.
-- Plasma screens in the lounge showing sporting events and other popular
programming.
-- Digital projection capabilities in all auditoriums for PowerPoint or
DVD presentations.

In 2007, new Movie Taverns have already opened in Aurora, CO, Lexington, KY and Columbus, OH, with another scheduled to open in Houston in early October. About Movie Tavern

Movie Tavern is the leading operator of cinema-eateries in the United States.

Jeff Benson, his wife Jamie, and his life-long friend Dennis Butler were owners of traditional cinemas prior to opening their first Movie Tavern in Ft. Worth, Texas in 2001. In an effort to provide food, drink, and customer service that historically has not been provided by traditional cinemas, the trio developed a cinema-eatery concept that combines full-flavor and high- quality food and drinks, friendly service and first-run movies at this first Movie Tavern.

In 2005, the company was recapitalized with the addition of a major equity partner. Their successful management of the concept has expanded the network of Movie Tavern locations to nine theaters in major United States markets and 80-plus screens.

Uncompromising in their standards and commitment to provide the highest- quality experience, Movie Tavern's leadership is implementing a major growth plan that will expand the system in 2007 to at least 11 locations and 100-plus screens, and to at least 21 locations with 180-plus screens in 2008.
