Washington Wildlife Agency Promotes State's Resources on MyOutdoorTV.com

NASHVILLE, Tenn., July 26 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Washington's Department of Fish and Wildlife has become one of the nation's first state wildlife agencies to begin offering its television series to a broader audience as part of a powerful new forum developed to promote hunting, fishing, wildlife watching, and natural resource opportunities across the country. Beginning today, Wild About Washington is being streamed through MyOutdoorTV.com, the world's largest internet video network for outdoor television shows, radio, video, and conservation information.

MyOutdoorTV.com has created a special section within its site called "State Explorer," which provides video from various states and links to wildlife agencies. The section includes television programming, educational videos, safety instruction, wildlife and waterways law enforcement information, and other materials. Hunters, fishermen, and boaters can even purchase licenses through MyOutdoorTV.com or make donations to the wildlife agency.

Shows and materials provided by the WDFW will also be included and available for search by topic or keyword on MyOutdoorTV.com. Viewers will be able to watch both current and previous episodes of Wild About Washington.

The show, which airs on about 40 local channels, has been produced and hosted by Chuck Boland for the past 10 years. According to Boland, Wild About Washington aims to introduce its audience to the entire Washington outdoors experience, covering such topics as crabbing, backpacking, gold prospecting, and historical sites, in addition to hunting and fishing.

"We're dedicated to making sure our youth develop an appreciation for the outdoors, so reaching them with our show is very important to us," said Boland. "In this day of technology and the internet, using those approaches is essential. We're not only thrilled to be on MyOutdoorTV.com, we have to be."

MyOutdoorTV.com will include the agency in marketing activities for the site, including TV, radio, print and online advertising and promotions. The agency will provide a link on its website to view programming at MyOutdoorTV.com.

"The state of Washington has a bounty of resources to share, and we're honored that MyOutdoorTV.com has the opportunity to help the Department of Fish and Wildlife tell its story," said Chris Moise, CEO.

MyOutdoorTV.com is the world's largest internet video network for outdoor TV programming, currently streaming over 70 shows on the shooting sports, fishing, and boating. In addition, it hosts radio shows, outdoor videos, and the new "State Explorer" section. For more information, visit www.MyOutdoorTV.com.
