Putnam's 74th Year In Broadcasting Is Marked By Daily Radio Show "Talkback" Airing On CRN Digital Talk Radio
LOS ANGELES, July 13 /PRNewswire/ -- Media industry icon George Putnam will celebrate his 94th birthday on Saturday, July 14, 2007. Putnam's birthday marks the start of the 74th year of the legendary broadcaster's illustrious career, which began at age 20 in 1934. A WWII veteran, Putnam achieved early success in his career while based in New York City before entering the Los Angeles news arena in 1951. Putnam's daily radio program Talkback airs live in-studio Monday through Friday from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on CRN Digital Talk Radio (CRN) via cable and satellite systems nationwide. Talkback replays daily from 12:00 midnight to 2:00 a.m. (all times are Pacific).
