During his tenure, GE's market value grew from $13 billion to $400 billion. Upon his retirement in 2001, Welch wrote his number one New York Times and international best-selling autobiography, JACK: Straight From the Gut.

Mr. Welch is currently the head of Jack Welch, LLC, where he serves as an advisor to a small group of Fortune 500 business CEOs and speaks to business people and students around the world. He also teaches a leadership course at MIT's Sloan School of Management and writes a weekly column for Business Week magazine.

Mr. Welch will be joined by ABC News Special anchor and correspondent Elizabeth Vargas, whose investigative talents led her to Cambodia reporting on questionable international adoption practices and the plight of the orphans; to the U.S. Gulf Coast covering Hurricane Katrina's devastation; and to Baghdad where she anchored World News Tonight reporting on the historic Iraqi elections.
