MANN CHINESE 6 THEATER COMPLEX IN HOLLYWOOD

WHAT: Several of the cartoon world's biggest names will discuss the
timeless legacy of pioneering animation producer Walter Lantz at a
special event to launch the first-time on DVD release of THE WOODY
WOODPECKER AND FRIENDS CLASSIC CARTOON COLLECTION from Universal
Studios Home Entertainment. Free to the public, the evening
includes a screening of Lantz's most memorable cartoons as part of
StoryMakers Studio's "Salute to Woody Woodpecker and Walter Lantz."
Seen on the big screen for the first time in over three decades,
these digitally-remastered classic shorts feature Woody Woodpecker
and his friends Andy Panda, Chilly Willy, Wally Walrus and Buzz
Buzzard, plus a rare showing of a 1933 Oswald the Rabbit cartoon.

WHO: The panel includes noted film critic, film historian and cartoon
buff Leonard Maltin; six-time Emmy(R) Award-winning
animator/animation director and producer Phil Roman ("The
Simpsons," "Garfield", "King of the Hill"); plus three of the most
in-demand voice artists in the cartoon world: Veteran "Woody" voice
actress, June Foray ("Woody Woodpecker," "Tweety & Sylvester,"
"Rocky & Bullwinkle"), Maurice LaMarche ("Futurama," "Pinky and the
Brain") and Billy West ("The New Woody Woodpecker Show," "Ren &
Stimpy," "Futurama")
