28th Annual Fundraiser Takes to the Streets of DC
Now in its 28th year, the DC101 Chili Cook-Off benefiting the National Kidney Foundation is DC's biggest block party featuring top bands and 101 of the area's best chili cooks competing for top honors. The event is Saturday, May 12, 2007, from 11:00 am - 8:00 pm at 11th Street and New York Avenue, NW, Washington, DC, the site of the former convention center. The Chili Cook-Off is the second largest fundraiser for the National Kidney Foundation of the National Capital Area, raising approximately $700,000 annually to support the Foundation's programs in research, preventive screening, public and professional education, and organ donation awareness.

Silversun Pickups, The Bravery, and Minus - One; 101 chili and

including Sara Albert, a finalist in last year's "America's Top
Model" reality series, and several food critics and chefs of
prominent DC restaurants.

at the gate.
