Avril Lavigne Launches Her Own Top Model Search With Buzznet.com
LOS ANGELES, May 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Avril Lavigne has introduced a brand new merchandise line in conjunction with her latest album "The Best Damn Thing" and is looking for that special girl to be her new "Merch Model." Wanting to give her fans around the world the chance to be it, Avril has teamed up with Buzznet.com for the exclusive "Get Dressed by Avril" Merch Model Search, which kicks off today, Tuesday, May 8 at http://www.buzznet.com/groups/avrilcontest.
The grand prize winner, who will be picked by Avril herself, will be crowned the new "Merch Model" for Avril's official website http://www.avrillavigne.com/ and their photo will become a regular feature on the site.
Entering is easy! All fans need to do is take a "model" photo of themselves in an old Avril t-shirt, or if they don't have one, they can get creative and make one and then upload their photo to http://www.buzznet.com/groups/avrilcontest for all the world to see and comment on. The people with the top 10 "Buzzed" photos will go on to Round 2 and will receive the newest Avril t-shirt to photograph themselves in. Avril will personally review the 10 finalists' photos and make the ultimate decision as to who will become her new Official Merch Model. The deadline to enter is Monday, May 21, 2007 and the winner will be announced in early June.
The "Merch Model" winner will also receive a shirt worn by Avril herself and a slew of Avril Merchandise.
9 RUNNERS-UP will receive:
- The new Avril tee
- An autographed copy of "Best Damn Thing"
- A Vans.com gift certificate to design their own pair of custom Vans
