Actress/Designer Christina Fulton to Host Pre-Mother's Day Charity Event on May 9th at SUGAR on La Brea

LOS ANGELES, May 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Actress/designer Christina Fulton will host an all-star pre-Mother's Day charity evening on May 9th at SUGAR on La Brea. The event will debut her summer IT'ZA FULCAGE, LLC fashion collection, including her Single Mom line, with a portion of the proceeds benefiting the Single Mom Foundation, Hats Off For Cancer and Haven Hills. Expected to attend are such stars as Nicolas Cage, Patricia Arquette, Maureen McCormick, Jai Rodriguez, Marlee Matlin, Melina Kanakaredes, Nikki Ziering, Smalls, Archie Kao, Thomas Ian Nicholas, Shar Jackson, Rachel Melvin, Nelson Asencio, Phoebe Price, and Marla Maples, among many others.

Christina Fulton is known best for her role as "Nico," the lead singer of the Velvet Underground in Oliver Stone's "The Doors." She has appeared in over 17 films, including Brian De Palma's "Snake Eyes," Abel Ferrara's "Dangerous Games" and the independent film "Lucinda's Spell," which accorded her an award at Slamdance.

Recently, Christina Fulton starred in E! Entertainment Network's "High Maintenance 90210" and just signed a deal to play one of the leads in Dionysius Zervos' upcoming feature film, "Rock Point."

Portions of the proceeds from the "Save America's Single Moms" event will benefit three separate charities: The Single Mom Foundation, a charity which Fulton established in helping to provide funding and opportunities "to make special dreams come true for single mothers across America," she said. Fulton's new bumper sticker reads, "Save America's Single Moms & We'll Save Our Children;" Hats Off For Cancer, a grassroots movement helping to provide hats for children who have lost their hair as a result of cancer, for which Fulton developed a special hat just for the organization; and Haven Hills, one of the most respected abused women's shelters in Southern California and which for many years has helped ensure the safety of women and families fleeing abusive relationships.
