LONDON, April 17 /PRNewswire/ -- Historic Royal Palaces invites adults interested in history, art, gardening, music and more to enjoy Summer School at Hampton Court Palace. Programs run June 15 - July 16, 2007 at the palace. Limited seating, prices from $12- $266 plus VAT, some include a year entry to Historic Royal Palaces.
Restoring the Privy Garden
Hear how the restoration of privy garden of King William III was planned and carried out. Discover what went well and challenges encountered; learn to maintain the garden. A tour of Privy gardens included.
From Our Palace to Your Palace
Join members of the conservation and collections care team and learn how the palace is cared for. Participants will garner tips on caring for homes and antiques.
Make Your Own Tiara
Be inspired by the gardens at Hampton Court Palace and the Crown Jewels to create your own tiara. Work with a professional artist using copper, silver and glass beads to create and take home.
History Makes You Hungry
Join food archaeologists for a hands-on course. Learn the ingredients and techniques historically used and make food to take home.
The Tudors
Introduction to great historical figures and relation to Hampton Court in Tudor times including Cardinal Wolsey and Henry VIII. This lecture, taking place in the surroundings of the palace will focus on the lives and key events of the times.
Nature's Paint Box
Step into the shoes of a Renaissance artist for four days. Prepare colors using materials from nature. Grind pigments, make paint, and complete a painting using medieval and Renaissance techniques.
Tudor Pottery
Make tiles and Tudor-inspired pots using impressed, sprigged and grafitto techniques. Individual designs inspired by Hampton Court Palace and its gardens.
Dressing Royalty

Two-day course, led by costumed interpreters, offers the chance to prepare, rehearse and perform a revel. Analyze the rooms where Henry VIII was entertained, including non-public areas. Workshops on style and manners of masques lead to a climactic performance in Clore Gallery.
The Art of Flowers
Working with tutors from the London School of Floristry, learn history of floristry in art before gaining skills for your take home arrangement.
