NEW YORK, April 17 /PRNewswire/ -- Lightworks Enterprises Inc., (LEI) a vertically integrated television, internet and new media company, today announced the production and acquisition of 4 new programs: "Ecorazzi.tv," "Secrets of the Soul," "Letters to God," and "Stories Behind the Best Loved Songs of Christmas." "Secrets of the Soul" was acquired from and produced by Hidden Treasures Productions; while Toronto-based PTV Eye, in association with Faith & Values Media, will produce "Letters to God." Lightworks Producing Group, a division of LEI, has been commissioned to produce "Ecorazzi.tv" and "Stories Behind the Best Loved Songs of Christmas." All programs will be distributed exclusively by LEI's distribution arm, Lightworks Program Distribution.

"Ecorazzi.tv" will be developed as a weekly television series dedicated to rounding up all the best 'green' news on celebrities and notables who are making waves in support of the environment and humanitarian causes. Two-time Emmy Award winner, veteran producer and former New York "Entertainment Tonight" Bureau Chief Karen Shapiro will lead development on the eco-fun, eco- sexy show.

"Stories Behind the Best-Loved Songs of Christmas," a prime-time holiday special, will feature stirring live performances by top recording artists and celebrities. The back stories of how our favorite Christmas songs came to life will be told in a mix of styles: montages of footage, photos, artwork and VO narration, interviews, and some intriguing re-creations. "Stories Behind the Best-Loved Songs of Christmas" is based on Ace Collins' award- winning book, published by Zondervan, a division of Harper Collins Publishers.

Lightworks Program Distribution's featured acquisition, "Secrets of the Soul," is a two-part documentary series which takes an all-encompassing look at the search for the soul from the scientists who investigate its very existence to the faithful who seek to touch it. Whether it is psychiatrists investigating claims of reincarnation or quantum physicists examining telekinesis, this documentary tests the soul's existence against the latest scientific research. The series is produced by Hidden Treasures Productions, an award-winning production company that specializes in non-fiction programming. Past productions include "Secrets of Mary Magdalene" and "Secrets of Angels, Demons, and Masons."

"Letters to God," a thoughtful, heart-warming family series, will feature funny and moving letters which children write to God. The letters will make us laugh and cry -- and be thankful for the wit and wisdom of children. The thirteen, half hour programs are slated to air on Vision TV in Canada.
