Mallory Lewis and 'Lamb Chop' to Visit School Children on USO Tour to Germany
ARLINGTON, Va., March 2 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Children's entertainer and "Lamb Chop" puppeteer Mallory Lewis will perform for service members and their families on a USO tour to Germany March 5-10. An Emmy award-winning producer and writer, Lewis will visit elementary schools at Ramstein and Spangdahlem Air Bases, as well as the pediatric ward at the Landstuhl Regional Medical Center.
The daughter of Shari Lewis, children's entertainer and creator of Lamb Chop, Mallory Lewis has been involved in the television and book publishing industry her entire life. After writing and producing for the "Lamb Chop's Play-Along" show, she produced her mother's three prime-time variety specials and served as executive story editor and producer of "The Charlie Horse Music Pizza."
After her mother's death, Lewis began appearing with Lamb Chop at live and televised events, performing in more than 200 shows, including a number of appearances for the USO. Author of 20 children's novels, Lewis recently released "Phonics for Babies, unleashing the genius in your child!"
This tour is part of the USO's celebrity education program. Past tours include children's motivational speaker Trevor Romain, who traveled to Okinawa and Guam; and musical trio The Jonas Brothers, who traveled to Germany and spoke with children about their experience in the music industry.
