Bloomberg TV Expands Mid-Day News With 'In Focus'

Host Brian Sullivan Delivers Exclusive Insight for Daytime Viewers

NEW YORK, March 9 /PRNewswire/ -- This Monday at noon BLOOMBERG TELEVISION(R) will unveil the new "In Focus," a groundbreaking two-hour daytime news program. The new format "In Focus," the only TV program offering in-depth news analysis during the mid-day hour, debuts on Monday March 12 at noon ET with an exploration of today's housing market. "In Focus" will air every weekday with fresh insight on a new subject every day.

A whole new look is coming to "In Focus" beginning Monday. The new show will expand to a two-hour format airing noon-2pm NY time, anchored by Brian Sullivan, who moves over from "Morning Call." The new "In Focus," with its unique two-hour format, explores the timeliest topics -- ranging from solutions to business problems to global issues such as climate change. The show provides up-to-the minute global market-driven news, expert guest commentary, and investigative reporting from a knowledgeable team of Bloomberg journalists. Host Brian Sullivan brings ten years of experience covering financial and political news to "In Focus." Mr. Sullivan is well known for his reporting from the floors of major exchanges and thorough interviews with leading newsmakers.

"I am excited to be working with the "In Focus" team here at Bloomberg," Mr. Sullivan stated. "The extended program will enable us to provide insight and angles to business stories in ways you won't see anywhere else. "In Focus" will give our viewers exclusive access to information based on Wall Street's top investment tool, the BLOOMBERG PROFESSIONAL(R) service, including proprietary searches to uncover the top performing stocks and mutual funds. Our reporting, backed by the 2,000-strong worldwide BLOOMBERG NEWS(R) organization, is the highest quality on television anywhere."

The biggest investment most people will ever make is in their home. The first edition of "In Focus" will explore the challenges facing the housing market, from slumping sales to a rise in subprime mortgage defaults to worries over the outlook for the economy. Monday's guests include Nicolas P. Retsinas, Director of Housing Studies at Harvard University and Joe Gyourko, Professor of Real Estate & Finance at Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.

Bloomberg's exclusive news and follow up reports are available to the public through BLOOMBERG TELEVISION and BLOOMBERG RADIO(R) services worldwide, as well as to Bloomberg subscribers via the BLOOMBERG PROFESSIONAL service.
