Ticketmaster Launches TicketExchange at Wembley Arena

Ticketmaster Launches TicketExchange at Wembley Arena

LONDON, March 9/PRNewswire/ --

- Wembley Arena Selects Ticketmaster as Exclusive Authorised Secondary
Market Ticketing Provider

Wembley Arena today announced that Ticketmaster, the world's
leading ticketing company, launched its new TicketExchange system for the
venue. Consumers who purchase tickets through Ticketmaster will now be able
to resell tickets for sold out Wembley Arena events that they are unable to
attend. The first event to offer this new service to ticket holders is
Shakira on 18 March.

TicketExchange is a safe, secure and legitimate alternative to
the un-authorised secondary ticketing market. Using TicketExchange at
Ticketmaster.co.uk buyers simply select the ticket(s) they want based on
price and seat location. The sale is completed through the trusted
Ticketmaster system with no risk to the buyer - no need for ticket buyers to
coordinate delivery from anonymous sellers, and buyers are assured that the
tickets are legitimate and valid for entry. Only tickets originally purchased
through the Ticketmaster system are eligible for resale and those tickets may
be resold at face value.

Wembley Arena has also recently installed AccessManager,
Ticketmaster's state of the art access control system, which works in tandem
with TicketExchange. AccessManager gives Wembley Arena the ability to scan
bar-coded event tickets to validate tickets in real time. The system deters
counterfeit tickets through its ability to scan the unique barcode on the
ticket and deny access where appropriate. It also denies access to tickets
that have been invalidated by being resold via the un-authorised secondary
market against the terms and conditions of sale.

Wembley Arena patrons are also now able to download and print
their own tickets, with the introduction of Ticketmaster's TicketFast
e-ticketing solution. Customers can choose to print their tickets at home,
rather than waiting for them to be posted or having to queue at the box
office. The unique barcode printed on the ticket is scanned at the venue
utilising Ticketmaster's AccessManager technology. TicketFast tickets to sold
out events may also be exchanged on Ticketmaster's TicketExchange.

Emily Thorpe, Ticketing Manager for the Wembley Arena said,
'"Wembley Arena is famous for being the "must play" venue in the UK. With a
capacity of 12,000 and a reputation for presenting some of the most in-demand
acts in the world, so we often see fans who have been let down by
unscrupulous re-sellers on the un-authorised secondary market. We are
delighted to be able to offer a legitimate TicketExchange service to our
customers and look forward to providing that service across a wide range of
our events".

Chris Edmonds, Managing Director, Ticketmaster UK said,
"Ticketmaster is proud to work with Wembley Arena to enable them to stay at
the forefront of ticketing innovation. Increasingly our clients have turned
to us to help them deter fraudulent ticket use and combat the problems caused
by the unauthorised secondary market. TicketExchange is the solution to that
problem, delivering a trusted legitimate service for the re-sale and purchase
of sought after tickets at a fair price".
