Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows by J-K Rowling, the seventh and final book in the best-selling series, has been scheduled for release at 12:01 a-m. on July 21st, 2007, it was announced Thursday by Scholastic, the global children's publishing, education and media company.

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, J-K Rowling's sixth Harry Potter book, was released on July 16th, 2005, and was the fastest-selling book in history, selling six-point-nine million copies in the first twenty-four hours.

There are currently over one-hundred-twenty million copies of the Harry Potter books in print in the United States alone.
