Stephen E. Snyder Named Chief Operating Officer, CBS Interactive
Former CBS SportsLine General Manager to Oversee Operations Across All CBS Interactive Properties
NEW YORK, Jan. 23 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Stephen E. Snyder has been named to the position of Chief Operating Officer, CBS Interactive, it was announced today by Quincy Smith, President of the newly-formed division. In this role, Snyder, who most recently served as Senior Vice President and General Manager of CBS SportsLine.com, will oversee all operations of the unit's websites (cbs.com, CBSNews.com, CBS SportsLine.com, among others), as well as its support functions. He will report directly to Smith.

CBS Interactive will look to name a successor to Snyder's role at CBS SportsLine.com immediately.
Snyder most recently served as Senior Vice President and General Manager of CBS SportsLine.com, where he helped achieve a record number of users to the site, as well as subscription and advertising revenues. Previously, he worked as Executive Vice President of Product Development and Operations, responsible for overseeing programming, production, fantasy products, operations, technology and marketing. He also served for two and a half years as vice president of production, in addition to working as vice president of strategic product development and vice president of marketing.
Snyder joined SportsLine.com in January 1998 as director of infrastructure engineering when the Company acquired GolfWeb, where he was director of site development. From 1989 to 1994, Snyder worked at McDonnell Douglas Aerospace Company as a launch team mission specialist, and as a system simulation group leader for a team of engineers who designed and developed a National Missile Defense "War Games" simulation for use by the United States Army Strategic Defense Command. Snyder has a degree in aerospace engineering from Cal Poly Pomona and an MBA from Stanford.
